Starring Kristi Noem and a cast of prisoners

Kristi Noem is a vile and disgusting human being. After all, no decent person would murder their dog and then brag about it in their audition-for-VP book. Noem would have to settle for Department of Homeland Security Secretary, and it is in that role that Noem, once again, went out of her way to demonstrate her depravity.

This is Noem, posing for some immigration porn, using prisoners as props to make some moronic point about how tough she is on migrants. The shirtless, tatooed men being made to stand at attention behind her are being held in what is known as the Cecot, or Terrorism Confinement Center, in El Salvador. Venezuelans, alleged to be members of a gang that the Trump Administration has labelled a terrorist organization, were arrested and disappeared to the maximum security facility, without charges being filed, or any shred of due process.

Porn star Kristi had a message for others in the US:

I also want everybody to know, if you come to our country illegally, this is one of the consequences you can face… Know that this facility is one of the tools in our toolkit that we will use if you commit crimes against the American people.

Only problem with that message is none of these men were even charged, let alone convicted, of any crimes. And how does the Administration justify deporting migrants — not back to their country of origin, which is how deportations are supposed to be handled — but to an infamous prison in a third country? Despite a federal judge’s efforts to get to the bottom of this, no one can say who these men actually are, or how long they will be in the prison that has been deemed, “hell on earth.”

Trump and his thugs like Noem, are getting more brazen about who they will apprehend and disappear. Turkish national Rumeysa Ozturk — a PhD student who was studying at Tufts University on a valid student visa — was abducted by men in black clothing, some wearing masks, and whisked away. Her apparent “crime”? Signing on to an op-ed published in the school newspaper, demanding that university leadership divest from Israel and condemn its slaughter of Palestinians.

Yeah, sounds like the stuff of terrorism to be sure.

Pay attention people, this is getting worse.
